Phil has over 20 years experience working in public practice, joining BLG in 1994 before leaving to work overseas for a number of years, rejoining BLG upon his return to Australia in 2007.
Since joining BLG Phil has had the opportunity to build lasting relationships with his clients. He particularly enjoys providing value added services to clients to get a positive result and to ensure their businesses are successful. It is Phil’s rational approach and caring nature that sets him apart from the ‘typical’ accountant.
Phil has experience in many different areas including business structuring, accounting, taxation, auditing, SMSFs, business planning, and valuation of businesses, in many different industries. This enables Phil to provide advice on ‘the big picture’, taking into account both present and future needs of clients.
Phil has completed a Bachelor of Commerce, (Accounting and Management) and is also a qualified Chartered Accountant. After completing his Chartered Accountant studies Phil worked with Ernst & Young in the United Kingdom on a wide range of private and publicly owned businesses.
When Phil is not busy working he is spending time with his young family, watching football (keenly supporting Arsenal in the EPL) or enjoying a surf at his local beach.
